Welcome to "Matt's Own Words." I decided to create this blog when I noticed a lot of links and news clips of Matthew Heimbach circulating Facebook. I was sickened as I watched him on television pretending to be an innocent defender of heritage and tradition. It angered me that he was doing these things in the name of Christianity, when truly he is no representative of the Christian population. In reality, he is consumed with hate, saying things like "smash left wing scum," "slavery was a good idea," "desegregation screwed us," "get under [the gays] skin," "take over Towson," "I just wanna harass the enemy," "FIGHT!," etc etc etc... He doesn't hesitate to use racial slurs and hate speech, ranting about"n*ggers" and "f*ggots" ALL THE TIME. And how he wishes they could all be lined up, shot, and dumped into mass graves?
The background of this blog depicts a patch with the words "White Pride World Wide," a slogan used by neo-Nazis and White supremacists. Matt distributed these patches on campus to his friends, as well as members of his student organization (including myself). The slogan "White Pride, Worldwide" appears in the logo of Stormfront, a website owned and operated by Don Black, who was formerly a Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan.
I hope this blog shows who the real Matt Heimbach is so that people won't be fooled by the show he puts on for the media. I hope people will stop giving him the attention he so desperately craves, and I hope that his "movement" will be squashed on campus. Enough people have been hurt by him, including me.
